What does the perfect model look like?


                      The traditional recruiting formula


Usually, a client contacts a recruiter, or a recruitment agency then describes the job position. A recruiter then gets paid to find proper freelancers, candidates, and employees that fit in that position.

So, what happens here is that the recruitment agency charges the clients 18% to 25% of the candidates’ annual salary (sometimes more)! In other words, for a candidate making €60,000 a year, the client must pay the agency €12,000 ! And it is a lot of money for start-ups, small and average businesses.

The recruiter in the agency working on that position also get paid a small bonus of 10% and sometimes 20% of those €12,000. As a result, those recruiters try to maximize their income by working for too many clients at once.

Even when these recruiters work individually by themselves as freelancers rather than for an agency, they still must look for clients & candidates at the same time , which consumes their time and energy simultaneously.

There are at least two severe flaws to point out in the classic model!

First, recruiters cannot focus on 7 or sometimes more than 10 clients’ needs at once, let alone trying to attract clients and candidates all at the same time. And this makes them (recruiters), as we mentioned earlier, bypass a lot of qualified candidates. Second, clients find themselves paying a high annual percentage for a not-so-good service!
